It seems as though this year continues to bring so It seems as though this year continues to bring sorrow and disappointment. As much as we love, support and shed light on soccer culture, It would be wrong of me to not give credit and props to a man who helped me get my start in doing what I truly love and that is @keithhufnagel. As a young man I was lucky enough to travel the world working with sneakers. I got to be around the biggest collectors, skaters and athletes all in the name of footwear. I remember when I was in SF looking to launch the first ever @dunkxchange event with @dxcceo. I walked into a little shop named HUF and sure enough Keith was behind the register with Mega from @blackscale (Black scale was still a vision at the time). We hit Keith up to be one of the first sponsors of our SF event. Now this was 2005 and HUF was on fire out west. The dunk sb craze was hitting and the new era hat game was killin. Huf knowing all well that Nike wasn’t into our event stepped up and supported our little mom and pop sneaker event. He laced us with hats and gear that would have easily sold out but made sure he told his team to take care of us. That was who he was. Through the years we would run into each other at trade shows and events and it was always so much love. A lot of people don’t know this in the soccer space but HUF was either the first or one of the first to do a soccer Jersey as a skate brand. He was a trendsetter, leader, pioneer and above all an amazing person. You will be missed my friend. I will miss seeing you at events and our talks about sneakers and more so I will miss the fact that I hadn’t spoke to you in sometime so I didn’t get to say goodbye. Thank you for believing in me and May you Rest In Peace. I know God has the illest skatepark ready and waiting for you. Your Fan and Friend - Curtis
